San Antonio welcomes the families of the 39,000 students who graduate from military training each year,
Visitors can explore the US Army Medical Department Museum (AMEDD Museum) at Fort Sam Houston, where they can also visit the historic Quadrangle, which is the second oldest military facility in the city. The Fort Sam Houston Museum is nearby, which tells the tale of the evolution of the army in San Antonio, beginning with the establishment of the post in 1845.
There are countless things to do in San Antonio. Fiesta San Antonio is held annually and includes food, parades and music. Families can also enjoy a night out at Sea World, Texas, take in a Spurs (NBA) game, or enjoy a stroll along the Riverwalk. There are also historic missions, museums and Hill Country excursions.
